Ians Ch. 9 10
"Nevertheless, for all of its flaws, what Churchill said of democracy can also be said applied to peer review: it is the worst system for judging research, except for all of the other alternatives that have ever been tried."
Unlike what churchill states in this quote, i find peer reviews to be a great aset to all papers. Not only as a writer, but also as reporter, and student, i think this is very important. We need to take into concideration however that just because one person is right, the other is not always wrong. People interpret things in different ways, and I belive this reflects how we look and evaluate things.

You make a great point when you say that just because one person is right doesn't necessarily mean that the other is wrong. All through IANS we've been given examples of the fact that people interpret different things in different ways. It's kinda like a math problem (even though I absolutely hate it), two people can arrive at a correct answer, but they took different steps to get there. Peer reviews can be helpful, but only as helpful as the original author sees them. You can give someone else your thoughts on a subject, but that doesn't mean that they're going to change their findings/work automatically.
Yeah. One of the best things about IANS is how they've never had one correct answer. After every example, they've given many interpretations of acceptable answers. I like how IANS looks at journalism, how you don't have to trace steps in order to arrive at a solution. You can take any route that you want, as long as its informed, unbiased, and true.
