"Tough enough to handle it" This is the exactly what I think when I first read about Hester. She takes so well to all that is thrown at her and how she stands there letting everyone judge her and while holding her baby no less. I agree that without her letting the father of the baby be known all of the women would be thinking that it could be her husband that is the father. And how ironic that the father is a "father".
