A Few Games From 1980

Mystery House, Atari Adventure, and Rogue were just a few games we touched upon in EL250 for our 1980 case study. Stepping that far back in time, we realize the sense of new found technological awareness that these games helped develop and are continuing to develop today. Modern games owe it to these few for the success they now enjoy.

I agree that these games of the past have helped shape the games of today, and those today will do the same for our future games. But creativity, technological advances, and a broader and higher quality pull of resources (i.e. composers, voice actors, artists, etc.) have also played a role.
