Podcast on Uncle Remus and his tales...

I was trying to find something to write about. To be honest, besides a moralistic story (what is that, didactic or something?), I certainly was exhausted trying to figure out the meaning of the story, let alone the concept as a whole.

I did find it interesting that these stories, to me, are like children's story versions of Biblical parables. Lessons learned without much of a mess. Clean, neat, with a lesson to be learned. When Dr. Jerz mentioned them being old (I was thinking 200-300 years, not "ancient") then I thought of the parables, I could see the connection to them being that old.
