     In the book it talked about what literature is, and although they gave a pretty good definition by saying it is copositions that tell stories, drama situations and so on, they dont really give enough detail about the fact that literature could be anything and come from anywhere.  I thought for this book it would have been even better for every one to see that you dont have to look too hard to find it like some may think.  Maybe i consider some things literature when I shouldnt, but thats my opinion, as I mentioned in my Lit and I paper!

     It was really good to see the genres mentioned as well, the book says that literature can be split into 4 genres, prose fiction, poetry, drama, and nonfiction prose.  Prose is writing that does not adhere to any formal structures. And we all know what fiction and non fiction is.

     I am really looking forward to learning (better) how to comprehend literature.  Although I learned to close read in my Am. Lit. class, I found it to be somewhat difficult, and hard to understand sometimes.  I am really looking forward to getting it "down pat!"
