I curse you, IT
This is just a small post letting you know that I have big posts on the way. 2-3, in fact. Because over the weekend, I watched a presidential debate that needs commenting on, and more importantly, I met alot of famous politicians on Saturday (including one missing a finger... figure out who!) and I need to get my blog on. But alas, I can't do this until the SHU IT department gets its act together. I say this time and time again that this school has big network problems, and this proves it.
My single networking jack in my room as broken, and because my roommate has a computer on the network, these IT guys said I wasn't a high priority... if I forget to make a tuition payment, they don't let me eat! I can't say to the people at Student Accounts, "Sorry, it's just not a high priority since you have 1600 other kids paying you." And so I am at the mercy of these black-shirt-wearing, beeper-dawning, folk that have offices throughout the campus. All I can do in the meantime is send lots and lots of helpdesk requests, and spend my breaks during my studio classes reading Drudge in the mac lab.
