Events to Attend

While I spend my last two weeks here at school getting progressively more sick, I figured I would take the time to list all of the great events I will be participating in (or hosting) while I am sick. All are encouraged to attend...

Friday, May 6th- "Social Security Reformation: with Tim Murphy 2:30PM in Admin 308 at Seton Hill. Presented by the SHU College Republicans, the event will feature Congressman Tim Murphy discussing the current problems with Social Security and how we can best fix it. The event will feature a lecture/presentation and an open Q&A discussion. Food and drink provided, free and open to the public.

Friday, May 6th- "Past, Present, and Future"
8:00PM in Reeves Theater at Seton Hill. It's a variety show featuring the theater department and a look back at the past year's accomplishments. I will be performing (along with the rest of the cast) a scene from Ed Hughe's production of "PVT. Wars"

Saturday, May 7th- PVT. WARS preview
1:00PM in the Studio Theater of St. Mary's at Seton Hill. This is a preview performance of the one act comedy "PVT. Wars", which is being directed by Ed Hughes and stars me! Free admission.

Sunday, May 8th- "PVT. WARS" ONE NIGHT ONLY
6:30PM in the Studio Theater of St. Mary's at Seton Hill. This is the only night to catch the hilarious one-act "PVT Wars" starring Mike Rubino, Jon Stewart, and Matt McDonough. The play runs about an hour and is free and open to the public. Definitely don't miss Ed Hughes' final theater project at SHU.

Monday, May 9th- New Playwright's Olympics
6:00PM in the Studio Theater of St. Mary's at Seton Hill. There will be play readings for eight brand-new one-act plays all written by members of STR390 (Topic: Playwriting) this Spring semester. All of the plays are excellent, some sad, many hilarious. The second play read this evening will be mine: Caution, Contents Hot! (A dark roasted comedy in 7 cups.) It's open to the public, and everyone would really appreciate some support and feedback for their new plays.

Pretty busy, huh? And all this while being sick, having finals, writing papers, and going to end-of-the-year club parties. All I know is that I will rest like never before next Thursday when I am finally home and through with this semester.

But just to make it all seem worth it, you should consider attending one of these great events! For me?
