Jerz: Am Lit II (EL 267) (Draft): Rice, The Adding Machine
I didn't like how the author writes the story because he often writes only conversations. However, I liked the way of the author's writing after reading the short story.

One good way to make sense of a playscript, if you're not used to reading them, is to imagine how you would put on the play if you were the director.
I have had theater students who say they can't stand reading stories and novels because the authors write so much besides conversations! So it's a matter of taste.
