Light up night

The beautiful weather gave a huge boost to light up night. The PPG ice
skating rink is now opened. Light up night is the traditional kick off for Downtown
holiday shopping. What wonderful weather we had. 70 degrees in November. Go figure. So glad for all the people who got to attend all the pre holiday
festivities

Same sex marriages in Massachusetts

There was a victor for gay couples in Mass. A landmark victory for gay right
supporters in Massachusetts and across the country, the state's highest court
became the first in the nation to rule that same sex couples should h allowed
to marry and share the same rights and protections as opposite-sex couples...

U.S. is returning to the U. N. for some help.

Michael Jackson was booked in Santa Barbara County. He was booked on
suspicion of child molestation. He immediately posted 3 million dollars bail. Parents
who allow their children to attend "pajama parties" with Jackson have
forfeited their moral authority. There really should be a law that prevents parents
blinded by celebrity from suing for damages after the fact.
Until Michael understands that he isn't beyond good or evil, the assumption
will always be that e is evil. If he has any brains, he will put as much
distance between himself and other peoples kids as possible.
After the humiliation of being booked and fingerprinted, hopefully he now
understands that he cant moonwalk above society expectations. Outside the gates
of Neverland, there is no presumption of innocence....

teacher

Who was your greatest teacher, and what was the most valuable lesson you
learned?

Teachers come in many guises-school instructor, basketball coach,
grandparents. What they teach you varies, too, from how to appreciate art and music to
how to be a positive example for others. My elementary-school teacher, Mrs.
Marciano, helped me adjust to our middle school. She taught me how to stand up for
myself and that knowledge is power. I think of her always at Halloween
because besides being a great teacher she always had the coolest costume.

basketball

Basketball

Well, our first scrimmage is on Saturday and I cant wait. All this practice
is about to pay off. I am strong and I am ready. This is my senior year and I
know what I have to do. I am the leader and so looking and prepared for it. My
parents are proud and that means a lot to me. My dad, as always will be in
rare form and hopefully that he and my mother will sit together the whole season.
She usually moves away from him after the first quarter. He's something else
that's why I love him. So bring it on lets go Griffins....

grandma

Grandma

On Aging
When you see me sitting quietly,
Like a sack left on the shelf,
Dont think I need your chattering.
IM listening to myself.
Hold! Stop! Dont pity me!
Hold! Stop your sympathy!
Understanding if you got it,
Otherwise Ill do without it!
When my bones are stiff and aching,
And my feet wont climb the stair,
I will only ask one favor:
Dont bring me a rocking chair.

When you see me walking, stumbling,
Dont study and get it wrong.
Cause tired dont mean lazy
And every good-bye aint gone.
IM the same person I was back then,
A little less hair, a little less chin,
A lot less lungs and much less wind.
But aint i lucky i can still breathe in.
__ Maya Angelou

Thinking about my grandmas .... Grandma Marge gone now but still in my heart
and Grandma Helen still kickin... Love them both and so grateful to have them
in my heart
