Culture soulds like Intertext.

Barker and Hulme, ''Nymphs and Reapers Heavily Vanish'' -- Jerz EL312 (Literary Criticism)

According to what we have said above, each individual text, rather than a meaningless unit in itself, lies at the intersection of different discourses which are related to each other in a complex but ultimately hierarchical way (Keesey 446).

Now I don't know about you, but that sure sounds like intertextuality to me. Now since we are taking the culture into context surrounding the text, and using the text to explore the culture, isn't this intertextuality. It seems like the Lazy Sunday video that Erin used for her project last week. Just wondering.
