Blogging’s great but
Did you ever get hung up in an automated phone system and think that technology’s gone too far?
Just the same, I’ve developed an affinity for blogging. Can anyone advise me on how you go about setting up a private blog. How much is it, etc.?

Nancy, if you're looking to set up your own non-academic web log, you might want to visit www.blogger.com. They have great templates and lately they've become very user friendly. If you want to pay a slight fee for a more professional looking web log, then you might want to check out TypePad (www.typepad.com). TypePad (small scale version of Movable Type) has drop down menus that you can tinker with if you want to play with design, color or column options. You get greater control of your web log depending on the amount you decide to pay. See how those work out for you.
