Gender Role Anwsers (My)

As for Tomb Raider out to change society, I don't believe they are. They just want to make a larger profit and to do that you need the money from girls. So if they incorporate the quest, more girls will buy and play it.

Gamer makers have already made think and puzzle games that appeal to boys. Remember Tetres? Everyone played that. It was a think/puzzle game and boys enjoyed it. I'm not sure if the game makers know what type of think/puzzle game will interest both boys and girls today. There needs to be research done in this area. If they get the research, then I think we will see some progress.

As for girls playing action games, 13.8% play according to research by Fromme. The research was done on 1,111 children in schools. Fromme doens't state how many boys and how many girls were used in the research. So I don't know how many girls were used out of the 1,111, and if the 13.8% is a high percentage or not.

Boys are using the computers to type. That's what school is for. Well they may not enjoy writing papers, but at least they are writing. Maybe after enough writing, some boys will enjoy writing. We just need to keep exposing them to writing and it just might catch on. I mean that' how we teach rding a bike, keep exposing and making them try it.
