I have not finished this book yet, but Blanche is some character. She is out for number one and is all about money. At least that is what she seems to me so far. I didn't understand why she kissed the young man who was collecting for the paper. It seems to me that she has failed at everything but her teaching career. Well maybe she is good with the guys, and not long term either. I have to keep reading to find out about that. Well I will have to add to this once i finsih the book.

I don’t want to ruin too much, however even her teaching career failed because she didn’t have common since: Her sexuality, which is seen throughout the play, gets her into trouble. Scene 7 tells us that Blanche wasn’t asked to take a leave of absence from her teaching job, rather she was fired because she was having relations with a student.
I thought Blanche likes men a lot. She had intimacy with strangers. Kissing with the Young Man is not a big thing to her. She likes to show her sexuality to males.
