Although the Seton Hill University (SHU) Men's Tennis Team failed to match the laurels achieved by the SHU Women's Tennis Team, the second year team has continued to show progress.

"Really, we're one really good guy away from being great," said
Jason Pugh, sophomore.

SHU Women's Team member, Julie Potrifka, sophomore, said the problem was more "half [the men] would have a good day, half would have a bad day; they were never all having a good day."

The team, which is led by number one single's player Jasmin Sadikovic, a freshman hailing from Ambridge, PA, achieved its goal of
a .500 season, having finished 4-4 in conference matches.

At the regional competition, the men made it to the quarter final
round, where they were knocked out by Ohio Dominican College, (ODC).

"ODC was just a better team, they had some really good recruits," said Pugh.

The team comprised of primarily freshman and sophomores will have
all 10 players returning next season, with the possibility of two
recruits.

"There are a lot of local juniors that we are looking to recruit
for next year; right now, we have to be more selective with who we are
bringing on since all of the guys are returning," said Head Coach Tim
Creamer.

The team, which has doubled its match experience this season, is looking forward to what one more season of experience will bring in the coming year.

"Our biggest weakness has been inexperience. Next year, we will
be able to take another step forward and hopefully compete for a top
spot in the conference," said Creamer.

"Our team is dedicated, and I think the progress we've made as
only a second year program has been really substantial," said Pugh.
