So I'm sitting here in Lynch 106. This kid is on his cell phone talking rediculously loud. Whatever happened to manners?
There are clearly signs posted all over the place saying "no cell phones in computer labs." Obviously we're going to bring them into the labs, but at least put them on vibrate and if somebody calls, step outside the frigging door.
Or at least SPEAK SOFTLY.

So I definitely forgot we started school again today. I thought we had another whole week off (do you ever want to say "a whole nother week off? I was just going to type that!). I just felt like blogging. I have class in 25 minutes across the hall, so I'm passing the time effectively instead of polluting my lungs w/ a cig or sitting idly by. =)
I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. In a couple months I will be done with my first year of college. It's incredible...I just want to stop growing up! haha. It's funny a few years ago I was saying the exact opposite.
I got my new car Friday, after being without one for almost a month! Had to shift for my dad because his arm is in a cast, and my mother and I weren't speaking so I couldn't use her car. That's always a charm. The boyfriend really couldn't help because his '88 Camaro(that we so lovingly call Red Dragon) isn't in tip top shape. One snow flake and forget about taking that thing anywhere. Where's Xzibit? His ride needs a major overhaul. Hah.
Aw, it was 2 and a half years for us on Friday. C'mon, everybody make an "isn't that cute" noise.

I seem to have an attraction to these people. Got a couple guys sitting across from me, talking and often looking at eachother's screens and laughing. Trying to drown them out with headphones doesn't work. Speaking of which, also in the category of loud assholes are the ones who wear headphones, but play their music so loud that everyone can hear it anyway. And as for cellphones, I say sometime like six people talk on them over the past few hours. We who understand basic manners are few and far between, it seems.
I totally agree with you, Sue. I'm in the lab right now, too, and there is this DOUCHE talking loud about nothing at all. Why is he even here? He's obviously not doing work. *Sigh*
This is all about upbringing. I have a friend who has a son who literally screams whenever he talks, yet she never tells him to be quiet. Oh, but she can always tell other people's children to shut up.

You are attcking the lesser fiend when commenting on people's poor manners. People are really just lacking wisdom. They have trouble understanding(even after touching it) a hot stove will burn them. In every situation you have reexplain that "Shhh, this is a quiet place." Nothing sticks with people. So everytime a person walks into a computer lab we must reprogram him or her with manners...
Or maybe just steal or smash cellphones
Glad you got a car. Must be nice.... *argh* I'm just jealous. Anywho, computer labs are rarely actually academic anymore. Ridiculous. And manners? I think those went out with top hats and coats with tails.
It must be a syndrom or something, I'm in the computer lab right now on 3rd maura and there are people talking loudly abour random things and about their personal lives. It is very annoying and frustrating because I'm sitting here trying to work and instead I hear their conversation. I just want to walk over and tell them to shut up! Oh well, what can you do. I must agree though, there are many people here that have no manners or respect what so ever.
