Well, it's almost 1:30 in the morning and I'm enjoying the fact that my roommate has a lab top computer and our apartment has a wireless network.
Yes, I have finally met my roommates, it's nice having other people to be around. Both of my roommates are really nice. Lauren and I became fast friends and we hangout a lot whenever we aren't in school that is. Rob is really nice but I hardly ever see him, he's actually hardly ever here. This morning when he was in our living room watching tv when I left for class I was so tempted to walk up to him and say who are you? lol. I'm not sure if he would have gotten a kick out of that.
All in all I guess it doesn't really matter whether my roommates are around the apartment or not, it's the fact that we get along and I'm glad about that. Also I think it's kind of nice that all three of us go to different schools, I think it kind of helps us to branch out and get to know other people.
Anyways, I'm sure some of you are wondering about my school. It's a huge place. I have already gotten lost in my first week of classes. I am constantly asking for directions all the time. I'm sure certain people are probably tired of seeing my face. Besides all that, I am not used to the huge classroom sizes. The lecture halls hold up to 300 hundred people or something like that, but don't worry there aren't quite that many people in the class, but there are still a lot. There is one spot on my campus that I absolutly love. It's called The Bush Court, and it's kind of the hub of the campus. There are lots of trees for shade and everyone sits in the shade under the tress eating lunch, hanging out with friends, sleeping, or whatever. It's just an awesome place and I love it.
I found out today that there is a bunch of trips that the school has throughout the semester. I am so excited about them. I am going to try to do as many as possible, or as many as I can afford at least. I want to do and see as much as possible while I am here.
My first week of classes went ok but I haven't really made any friends yet. I'm too shy to just go up to people and start talking to people. I always worry too that nobody will like me I guess. I'm hoping that getting involved in trips will help me meet people. I joined some clubs but I'm not really sure how to meet up with the people in them since don't seem to have any meetings or anything. I have only heard back from one of the clubs so far and hopefully that will get me off to a good start of meeting people and making friends, and also to having a good semester.
Well, I really probably should get to bed but I probably won't for a little while, it's been so long since I've read everyone's blogs, so I will spend some time doing that and I will try not to be too much of a lurker and make some comments then I really have to get to bed. :)
I'd be interested in hearing your reaction to attending large-lecture classes.
