In this chapter, Sieb, claimed Television sets "stationary objects." They are like any other piece of furniture. However, the television is just a box with someone interacting with you as you watch. As for the computer, it is also "A staitionary object," however you are able to interact with the internet. "The transparency of internet use will be enhanced as news consuumer acquire the habit of tapping a few keys on a wireless telephone or other handy device to check the news on the Web. Speed of delivery of Web site material and ease of use....." There is much more to interact with on a computer to check the news. The click of a button leads you back to the previous page, whereas with a newspaper, you must take muscle and arm motion to turn the page. The internet also requires somewhat of intellectual effort. That is more than true, becuase anyone can sit and watch television. As for the internet, one must know how to navigate through pages and search for the correct criteria they are looking for.
Just as in "Afterword," Sieb describes Sept. 11, 2001 to be a defining moment in Journalism history. For those people who didn't hear of the terrorist attacks from the news anchors who played that primary role who stayed with us hour after hour with more detail to add every once in a while, they
