Peer Review Fun

So, after working on this paper for God-knows how many hours, the last thing I want to do is look at it. From my eyes and my perspective, this paper is a work of art and should be treated as such. Good thing for peer review. Without it, I would have missed a lot of obvious and simple mistakes, as well as those that were a bit more severe.

Originally Erin and I traded papers but Diana moped and joined our little fantastic threesome as well. The poor girl- she ended up with my paper. That's what you get for coming in late, Diana. However, I'm thrilled she did. Diana offered numerous comments about the style of the paper and made me step back and re-examine some points that I would have previously left unnoticed. It's amazing how having someone else look over your paper can make such a difference. It's also nice talking out problems or concerns, as well as ideas- I won't be there to explain my paper to Jerz, so I need to get everything I want to say out now.

After the peer review I'm left with an arsenel of ideas on how to improve and clarify my paper to make it as amazing as I think it already is (I'm joking here...don't think I'm too conceited).

I would like to say that my term paper is going really well. I would like to say the words are simply pouring out of me every time I sit down to write and that I place my full concentration into it at all times. Sure, I'd like to say these things. But...I can't. Because, honestly, it would be one huge lie. Instead, the paper is daunting and looming over me like some create that would take up residence under my bed.

My problem is having too much information. I know what I want to say, and I have my outside quotes to explore it, and....I have no idea how to organize it. I've thrown out my initial outline from the presub, so now I sit blindly staring at my computer hoping for answers. It took me ages to write my introduction. I think the idea of the paper is intimidating me and causing me writing anxiety every time I try. Maybe tonight I'll have a burst of inspiration...
