Thinking about what Even said

I was looking though some of the class blogs and found one by Even that I think could be a really good topic to discuss. I know that some people get upset by this and will not want anything to do with it but here is what Even said .

What does everyone think about everything going on here. Are the rights of gay people being taken away because others are afraid of change?

Let me know what you think.

I posted this response to you on Evan's blog:

Very thoughtful responses here but in regard to Viki's question, "Why are 2 girls ok but 2 guys are not ok in some peoples eyes?" I don't think that is the case at all. There is an equal amount of prejudice towards gay couples as there is towards lesbian couples. I don't personally know of many people that will accept one type of gay relationship and not the other. Its one of those things that people either like or dislike regardless of the persons sex. There really is no middle ground. The only people that I can see accepting a lesbian relationship rather than a gay relationship is certain males. Even then they only accept the female relationship for its intrinsic sexual value not on the principles of love. The gay male relationship threatens heterosexual men and puts them in an umcomfortable position. I am not justifying this by any means but just putting that thought out for all to review.

I am not sure that I agree with you that people accept it or they dont. I know a lot of people that say they would rather see two girls then two guys. They also are not all guys that say that. I understand your point but I am not sure that is the case all the time.
