Pawl colorcollar2.jpgRev. John T. Pawlikowski, O.S.M. is the professor of social ethics and director of the Catholic-Jewish Studies Program of the Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Center, Catholic Theological Union.

Pawlikowski, a Servite priest, served for six years as the president of the International Council of Christians & Jews (ICCJ). Currently he serves as ICCJ president emeritus and as a member of the ICCJ Executive Board.

Appointed by President Carter to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council in 1980, he also currently serves on the Council’s Committee on Conscience, the Academic Committee and the Church Relations Committee which he chairs.

Author and Editor of more than fifteen books and a contributor to numerous journals, Pawlikowski is presently working on a book about non-Jewish victims of the Nazis. Pawlikowski appears frequently on radio and television programs in the U.S. as well as abroad. He is also the recipient of numerous awards including Seton Hill University’s Nostra Aetate Award.

He will speak on “The Catholic Church and Human Rights” on Monday, October 26, from 9:10-10:10 a.m. in Cecilian Hall.
