Griffins off to Good Start!

Seton Hill looking like a great contender in their first season!

The Griffins baseball team looked fantastic yesterday as they swept two games from Robert Morris. This was the first game for the new Seton Hill baseball team but they are looking better than expected.

Yesterday marked a day in history for the Griffins. They won their first two games and are ready to continue the romping of opponents. The team looked great yesterday, throwing a combined no hitter in game two and shutting down Robert Morris with an almost flawless defence. Hitting was though to be a flaw for the Griffins in game one but suddenly picked it up when they hit two homers, including the first grand slam of the season. Overall it was a great day for the team, coaches, and all of the fans in attendance.

Come out and join the Griffins as they take on Washington and Jefferson next Sunday at Cedar Creek field. The first of two games will start at 12pm.

Check out my blog for more stories and details about the Griffins!

Sounds great Brandon. Did you swim?

Amanda...Well in the looks of rivals everyone is going to be out to get us. Since were a new program no one wants to lose to us because they dont think we are good enough or have enough experience. Although we dont have any rivals yet there will be a lot down the road!
(Ill try and put some things on my site about swimming for you)

Sounds competitive. Any rivals yet?

It is weird coming to Seton Hill and seeing my high school rivals in swimming.

Lindsay...we have about 35 guys on our team and about 30 of the are freshman. Although majority of us are younger we have a really good team and are expecting to contend with every team we face this season!

Tiffany...I am a shortstop, this is where I have been playing for the past 8 or 9 years. Other than that I am a pitcher when the team needs!

Way to go! How many players do you have on the team? Are you all freshman since this is the baseball team's first year?
