Journalism exercises 1-4 Kind of long....

1. The who is the United Jewish Appeal. The what is sponsoring it's first ever walk-a-thon. The where is Springfeild. The why is to raise money for the soup kitchen and there is no where and how.

2. Statement D offers the most answers. The what is the federal regulation goes into effect to require funeral homes to provide a list of services and materials they offer. The when is Monday. The how is that it goes into effect. The why and where are very vague.

3. A new proposal goes into effect on monday, which will force funeral homes to provide lists of services and materials they offer to customers. OR To prevent rip-offs by funeral homes a new law will be going into effect today, which will make it easier to detect the cost of a funeral. I Think that the third person is more effective because the reader can relate and for that reason the article draws them in.

4. A nuclear weapon detonated Tuesday near the Pahute Mesa in Nevada while it was being tested. At the time of the explosion hundreds of physicians and activists were protesting the tests.
