Heres some more journalism work for ya.....

1. An 81-year-old Chester County man who contracted the disease this month died Monday, the first person in the state to die from the mosquito-borne virus this year. Nine Pennsylvanians died from the disease last year.
The questions answered in this lead are, who, what, when, where, why, how is not identified. The type of lead is a summary lead.
2. In this small town of about 800 residents, a good community celebration is enough reason for most to forsake watching college football or taking a trip to the mall.
The fun Saturday was had in downtown Avonmore where vendors lined Fifth Street and crowds gathered to watch a parade and live music during the first day of the Avonmore Jubilee. The event will continue today.
The questions this lead answered were, where, what, when, who, and why and how are not identified. The type of lead is summary
3. ARNOLD: The remnants of once-feared Hurricane Isabel brought only stray breezes to the opening night of Arnold Fall Family Days, kicking up the unmistakable whiff of funnel cake through the crowds.
The questions answered in this lead are, where, what, when, the questions who, why and how are not present. The lead is creative, I think.
4. NEW KENSINGTON: The cornerstone, so to speak, is in place at Memorial Park, where city officials hope other civic organizations and private donors will build upon what the New Kensington Rotary has done.
The Rotary has created a decision garden in the park and placed in it a large stone displaying the Rotary's four-way test meant to make life's tough decisions a little easier.
This lead answers the questions what, where, why, how, who, the question when is not answered and this type of lead is creative
5. The last of six people implicated in the 2001 shooting and beating death of an Armstrong County drug dealer was convicted Thursday of third-degree murder.
This lead answers the questions what, when, why, but does not answer who, how, or where. It is a delayed identification lead because in the next paragraph, they mention the guys name.
6. Those who walk along Smithfield Street may notice the plaques embedded on city streets with cryptic messages about dead people on Jupiter.
These Toynbee Tiles show up like urban crop circles, puzzling people in at least 20 U.S. cities. The tiler has never been nabbed. Do the tiles mean something? No one seems to know. People have reported seeing at least a half-dozen tiles in Pittsburgh.
This lead shows who, where, what, but does not show when where or why. This lead is a summary lead. http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/news/s_156547.html

Also I looked at two of the same article, they were just on a different day. The differences are:the one mentions the other people involved in the killing the article is about, one mentions he is the sixth person implicated, one says how long the jury debate lasted, one says what the jury consisted of and how long they took, one said the other offenses that he is being convicted of. The similarities are that both mentioned the jury at some point, the victims name, the killers name and where he is from. I think the more effective one and the one I like better was the September 18 one, it was more complex, and i like the way it was organized better. I also really liked how it mentioned a little background too. The articles were from the Valley News Dispatch, and they were about the Larry Dunmire killing and the last suspect John Smith being convicted.
