9) I chose to compare and contrast two articles, one from abcNEWS and one from Reuters.com, about the cut of oil production. The first major difference I observed between the two articles is that there leads concentrated on different aspects. One desribed how the oil cut would effect on the on coming demand of winter season and the other concentrated on simply the bare facts of the situation; no connections were made. There were only a few similiar facts between the two. One such example is that they both covered the same basic facts around the second and third paragraphs: Who: Kuwaiti oil minister/OPEC, What: cutting oil production, When: Nov. 1, Where: Kuwait, How: Reducing cartel's output ceiling. However, overall I feel that the second article found at Reuthers.com is more beneficial to society because it not only tells the straight facts, but it also describes how the cut will effect society.
