Griffins on a Roll!
The Griffins baseball team keeps the winning streak alive as they sweep W & J this weekend.
This is the second weekend in a row that the Griffins would step onto the field and its the second sereies sweep that they picked up. The Griffins baseball team is doing better than expected and keeping the winning alive!
Yesterday in the double header against W & J the Griffins came out with energy and a lot of team spirit. They swept the games right away from W & J by scores of 6-2 and 7-1. In game one Brandon Flythe had two hits with a couple of RBIs and a few stolen bases. In game two the Griffins pitching staff stayed dominant and shut down W & J to just one run.
These past two weekends were great preparation for the tounament the Griffins will enter on October 11th and 12th. The Nittany Lion Club Classic is a two day tournament in which the Griffins will play about four games and hopefully bring home their first tournament win. With the way they have been playing these past four games I think the Griffins will be great competators for every team in the tournament. If the pitching stays strong and the bats stay "hot" there is no reason why the Griffins wont keep this winning streak alive.
Lets keep the Grffin pride alive and support our team! LETS GO GRIFFINS!!!
