HS Student Arrested for Linking to Offensive Website
Student Press Law Center - News Flashes
Ohio students suspended, arrested for off-campus Web site
Web site allegedly threatened violent action against group of girls labeled "preps"
Even if his friend's website contained something offensive, should this kid be punished for linking to it? When does the school's responsibility to protect other students trample common sense?

I happened to like the new colors... Perhaps we should try a few different shades of blue, since those are usually easy on the eyes :) (black and white is so... boring).
Shannon, although you're right that the child in question hasn't had a trial, I think what motivated the authorities was the possibility that that child's presence in school posed a threat to all the other children. While it seems pretty clear to you and me that the authorities are overreacting, before all the facts came out, perhaps that wasn't so clear. And by the way, Shannon did find a good example.
Amanda dislikes my Halloween color scheme. Oh, well. It was fun while it lasted.
I maybe misunderstanding some things, but how can the school suspend this student if (at the time of the article) he had not even had his trial, and therefore had not been proven guilty of making the changes to the website.
Also, this article address many issues, such as libel and invasion of privacy that have recently covered in my blog writings. . .please take time to view my blog at Blogs.setonhill.edu/ShannonGerstel.
Please change the colors back.
This brings up a very interesting topic. Freedom of Speech on the Internet. Check out my blog for my comments on this.
