I think they went a little over board with this one. Sure it may be a little funny but it doesn't even look like it could be true!
The Onion really went a little too far with their article on Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham Don't get me wrong it is kind of humorous but I don't think that any of it is really relevant to what the guy is about.
Through a google news search I found alot more relevant things that they could have parodized. But they had to add porn. I really don't appreciate that.
Please take a look at the links and tell me which ones you think would make a better onion story. ;)
I thought it was hilarious. I'm from Michigan so you have to understand other dynamics ( like his
bashing of Sen Stabenow who ended up defeating him
or his sponsorship by the Amway people.) Madison, WI has a history of irreverence. Remember when Spence wanted to do away with the Dept. of Energy ?
I agree with you that I don't think the porn was necessary. I mean, The Onion article didn't even have to put a picture of one of Spencer Abraham's films on the website.
I do however, agree that it was pretty funny.
