Um, Your Missing The Point....Shut Up And Listen!

I am glad to report that the Black History Month Presentation entitled "On Being Black, sponsored by the NAACP, was a total success. I want to take this moment and Thank everyone who came to the show and supported us. I want to give a special thanks to Liberation for coming and delivering a great show and and even better message.

Now Let me get to the point of this posting.

I want to start by saying that alot of time effort, tears and sweat went into the making of this show and in the end there were a few minor glitches but the message was a good one. If you came to the show and actually listened to its content then you realized that the controversy surrounding it was complete bull.

So with that being said, lets address this so called controversy right now. The title of the show was "On Being Black". The show was about, On Being Black (Hence the title). Instead of things being more complex, and or maybe complicated I decided to keep it simple. If you asked what the show was about I told you to look at the title and then if you needed more information I explained that the show gave a glimpse into the life of African Americans and thier struggles throught slavery, the civil rights movement, and being black today.

For the people who had a problem with the title, LET IT GO AND GROW UP! With all the talking you were doing you missed the point! And since you missed it let me reiterate, this time open your ears and listen: "THE SHOW WAS ENLIGHT OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH AND IT WAS THE NAACP'S WAY OF CELEBRATING, AND DELIVERING A POSITIVE MESSAGE AND LIGHT ON AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE. WE ARE PROUD TO BE AFRICAN AMERICANS AND WE WILL PROSPER IN ALL THAT WE DO"

Oh, and one more thing, the people who were complaining were the ones who should have been celebrating. Dont get it twisted, it was for you too. It isnt the time to for controversy between us but instead, it is time for us to unite and be proud of who we are.

I DONT CARE WHAT ANYBODY SAYS, the show was damn good! I am proud of everone who took part of it and once again thank everyone who supported us.
