The Beastie Boys Strike Again

Yesterday was the fourth of July, and so like everyone else in America I waited till around 6pm, and headed off to find some fireworks. After stopping to ask a few random pedestrians directions, I found some, and I have to say it was one of the best displays I've seen in a long time. The explosions and lights were even synchronized with various patriotic songs and ballads.
Er...most of them were patriotic anyway. I have to say that I was a little surprised when, after a stunning rendition of "America the Beautiful," the music smoothly transitioned into "Intergalactic" by the Beastie Boys.

I heard several people around me mutter such things as "Beastie Boys?", "What the hell?" , and "I think I'm going to be sick." Ok, so that last one was me. But I could tell other people were thinking it. I really did hear someone behind me say "At least it's not "Brass Monkey" though. The Beastie Boys are fine to listen to in your car, at the occasional drunken party, or by yourself in a padded soundproof room. But at a fireworks display with 40,000 people watching? Somehow, it just doesn't seem right.
