All Staff Meeting: Eye Contact

| 11 Comments | No TrackBacks

If you're interested in helping SHU put together this term's issue of the campus literary magazine, Eye Contact, there will be an open "All Staff Meeting" tomorrow night (9/21) at 7:30pm in Admin 406. We'll discuss our plans and needs for the year. Pizza is involved.

Our primary staff positions for this year are already filled, but we do need help from qualified students in judging submissions, campaigning for patronage, and a few other things. If you're a creative writing major, especially, you might want to come join us.

Our theme issues for this term are:

TRUTH (deadline ~ Oct 15th)
CONSEQUENCES (deadline ~ Feb 15th)

More guidelines to follow soon. Or write our Editor in Chief, Mike Rubino, with questions.

(haha) *shakes her head with a smirky grin*
Dr. Jerz....!
:)

Can I submit something for a J-Term issue of Eye Contact, on the theme of "OR"?

Or rather "homecomeing" for those of you who didn't miss last year's mishap.

Karissa,

I'm guessing that Donna will approve, but you can wait on giving her her copy until Homecoming. She's planning a visit to the hill within the next month.

Donna, actually, we're getting ready to distribute "Tragedy," which was the title of the Spring 2004 issue. I'll mention it, and someone could probably hook you up ;)

(No stealing necessary :)

Just wondering: is it too late to snag a copy of last spring's issue? I'll be swinging by the hill for homecoming if someone is willing to steal me one :-)

Come on by Moira...better late than never. And Brian, thanks for your continued support of the magazine. See you at the meeting, Karissa (our literary editor) and anyone else who shows up!

Brian approves of our themes... Mwhahaha, I'm so glad we were adamant about that at the Ed. meeting :)

(P.S. Mike, you're an awesome Editor-In-Chief!)

How long will the meeting last? I work until 7 p.m. but I may be able to swing by after that. If I can't get there, can I still participate? I'm all about it! Thanks...

I like the themes! You will have to post back when the issues are up for grabs and I'll send in my check.
