Latest Cellar Dweller Show for One Night Only

The newest Cellar Dweller show "American Splenda" is this Friday for one night only in Beaver County. I am saddened that we aren't doing it more than once in the county, because I know a bunch of the folks that normally come to our shows are working that night. Alas, due to various circumstances, and a desire to keep things for this show relatively small (allowing us to work on bigger things to come this fall... hint hint!), we are just doing one performance in the BC. However, I hope for a grand audience waiting for receive this great show... so if anyone who reads this blog is interested in driving to Beaver County, to the Community College of Beaver County, just comment or e-mail me and I will guide you.

Friday, August 12th at CCBC's Allied Health Auditorium (Building 6). Show begins at 8:00PM, admission is a mere $5.00. Following the performance, we will have an improv workshop at our theater in Rochester from 10PM to midnight

The show is sort of following a pattern accidentally created last year through summer. We were just coming off of a big run of "Kiwani Step Outside" when we did "Godzillas and Generals." G&G was done only twice, both times at CCBC. This year we did a huge run of "Desperate Housewares" followed by the small Splenda run. The difference between G&G and Splenda is that the first performance of our current show was in Franklin. And so our second, and last, performance of this show will be Friday, August 12th at CCBC (Community College of Beaver County)'s Allied Health Auditorium at 8:00PM.

I really think the show is hilarious. All of our shows have something for everyone, we are usually certain of that. We have the slapstick and the romantic comedy, we have the satire and witty humor, and we have that "Holy crap, if you don't laugh at this you hate life" kind of sketches. This is one of those shows. But I must say that it differs a tad from "Desperate Housewares." I think, at least, that its decidedly more action packed, more physical. From a performer's perspective, I do a heck of a lot more running around in this show than I did in Housewares. Then again, that's mainly because I was in college and had mono during the making of that show, so I sat out alot of things.

But I digress. This is a hysterical, and 100% original show that should not be missed. I know that not every one of our beloved Beaver County followers will be able to make it to this show, but I hope you try. For our college-bound friends, it will be nice to check out a show so you have something to tell all of the folks at your school about when you return (or enroll) in the next few weeks.

And so just to make people a little more curious as to what's going on in this show, I'm posting the setlist (which appears in the program).
