SHU Blogosphere in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
"Awkward encounters? Sure. But instances such as these are providing teachable moments for faculty at a growing number of colleges nationwide, including Seton Hill. There, a professor and his prolific community of student bloggers are exploring the good and the ugly about a rough-and-tumble form of Internet discourse whose popularity has exploded." --Bill Schackner, in "Freedom of speech redefined by blogs" (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette).
The same issue also includes a related article, "Colleges using blogs to attract students," that mentions the Seton Hill Admissions blog in the same paragraph as Case Western Reserve, Bryn Mawr, and Harvard.

I agree, Jay, this was a good article.
Some college papers will introduce a student as, for example, Jason Pugh (HUM '07), indicating that you're in the humanities division and you're part of the class of 2007.
What matters is consistency -- and for our class, I chose AP style. Some papers choose to use their own style, so it's not actually a mistake.
Good eye, though!
This was a well written article. There were a few copyediting errors lol, like never put "Dr. Jerz" once the person has been introduced. Overall, I think that this article was a well-represented piece that shows how Seton Hill University really gets along through the blogs. Bill Schackner did a good job, and I think that everyone who helped out (especially Dr. Jerz) deserves a hand in this monumental piece of SHU's history.
Thanks, Marcia! I'd have felt very silly if I were the only one blogging. It was the SHU community that really made the news.
You saw the potential and developed it, Dennis. Muchos kudos! :)
