Week 1 Excursions

After visiting the Cathedral de Cuernevaca it gave me an appriciation of how successful these early settlers were. Knowing that these people were able to build this massive building at the time they did and to have it still standing today is pretty remarkable. The trip the next day to Xuchicalco was a very imformative trip. It was hard to believe that the ball game that they played was actually possibly but after our trip to the museum and watching the video there it all made sense. It was hard for me to believe that these people were not allowed to use their hands or feet.
