For the past 23 years Kristallnacht has been remembered by Seton Hill University(SHU) students in St. Joseph Chapel. Kristallnacht, “The Night of Broken Glass,” took place on Nov. 9-10, 1938. It consisted of a series of attacks against Jews and their homes, shops and synagogues. Many Jews were arrested and taken to concentration camps.

During the month of October, pink ribbons flood our lives as we are reminded of our sisters who have struggled with Breast Cancer. What most of us do not realize, however, is that October serves as Awareness month for another “cause”—Vegetarianism.

Alright, so “revolution” is not really the word I’m looking for since its technical definition considers violence to be a part of it, but what I have to wants no part in the violent nonsense of a revolution. Instead, let’s call this a peaceful revolution.

Oct. 17 marked the first game of the season that Ben Roethlisberger played with the Steelers after serving his four-game suspension. Roughly 20 protesters gathered around the entrance to Heinz Field with signs bearing slogans such as “Big Ben’s a jagoff” and “Consent is not a game.”
