I know I’m jumping in this late, but I made an account JUST so that I can post on this thread and say: “Well Said!” You have basically summed up all of my thoughts and articulated my half-hearted disappointment. I hope that Adam returns to his dreamy/poetic roots including the Christian aspects of his music, but I’m worried that the secular pop music has grabbed tightly onto him. I’m still a huge Owl City fan….but it’s just not the same!

Congratulations on the fine article on Dr. Boyle retiring as President of Seton Hill University. I was just disappointed that the list of her accomplishments was relegated to “sidebar online.” It requires extra work to find the information online and people not comfortable with the computer may not get to see it!

It is worth noting that the “two crucial documents needed to show that you are a US citizen” are not photo IDs, and would not count under the proposed PA vote id law. I am not completely opposed to the idea in theory, but the way it is being implemented smacks of partisan maneuvering at the expense of the democratic process.

Sister Maureen is indeed a valued member of the SHU staff. She and I go back a long way to good old SHHS days .where if one takes the time to really think about it, there existed true cultural and ethnic diversity. I would imagine that Sister Maureen draws a great deal of her idealism from those days at Sacred Heart. Personally, I remember the pajama party’s at her moms. We would all talk for hours and of course, never sleep. I also well remember the retreats at Seton Hill as very special and special events. A true time away from the daily world. I didn’t know Maureen liked scones. We never had them in our cafeteria at SHHS. She is the same girl now as she was then and nobody ever forgot her.
