Academic Article of Your Choice

Find and respond to a peer-reviewed academic article on either Oedipus Rex or Medea.

An article on a general topic, such as violence in Greek theatre, or depictions of royalty in Greek theatre, would be acceptable as long as either Medea or Oedipus Rex are featured prominently.

  • The article must be published within the last 10 years.
  • The article must be published in a peer-reviewed academic journal.
  • The article must cite at least 10 sources. (Okay, I’ll still take it if it cites nine.  And I might still take it if cites only eight.)

Articles from The Explicator are too short, and typically only cite a handful of sources.
