Quiz woes

POJ people. Thoughts on the quiz? What stumped you?

I am kinda shaky in my resolve, maybe just a bit obsessive. I had problems with words like "confirmation bias" and in the bonus section "Gray Lady". I think I got it right--I don't know.

I like to have someone to talk about tests with, but we didn't finish at the same time, so I didn't get to.

It is nice to share those worries, those woes. Comment away...

Amanda, I too, felt your disdain about the quiz. I mean, we DID finish at about the same time (last...) but there are other things to take care of after tests like that, such as capturing any fragment of sanity that may remain to save it for later use ;)

I really didn't think it was as bad as I had anticipated. I figured it would be *gasp* worse than that, with snags and twists all over the place, but I was *gulp* um, delighted that I recognized nearly all of the words on the test.

I walked in preparing to hurl myself out the 4th story window and plunge to a nice, peaceful, elusive death on the ground floor. But I walked out rather confident in the fact that I had studied well, and that I had done my best. (now, that doesn't say anything about my score, it just says that I tried my best--which may or may not imply a passing grade... doesn't that just suck?!)

suckiness factor? 8.5

I, too, join the legions of fellow students who probably felt they wanted to skip lunch that day due to the fact that they nervously devoured their pencil top erasers during the quiz. All in all, I'm a little peeved that I got squirmish over 109 vocab words only to get stumpted on the test trying to word how I thought there was a difference between "exclusive" and "press release." I can only hope that my test nervousness didn't get the best of me, OR Jerz is a leniant grader! :)
