NEW YORK! NEW YORK!

Thank you SHU for the opportunity to see a chunk of the world.

I am going on the New York trip with Student Activities. Is anyone as excited as me about only paying $130.00 to go on a trip out of this little town? However, I need roomates. 3 to be exact. Anyone interested on going?

Hotel Edison looks pretty cool.

NEW YORK!!!! You may be wondering why I am so excited. I have never been. I only know NYC from the movies. Sheltered, I know.

Hopefully by then the Statue of Liberty will be reopened. And then Broadway!! I wonder if we could see a show? The flyer did not say what we are doing, maybe that is up to us. I want to see the NY Times building and Times Square, Macy's, Central Park. I have so much I want to do and see. A weekend will never be enough.

I am going on like a Beverly Hillbilly.

I'll have to look this up and email it to you or something, but I lived in New York all last summer and found the best spot in the city. It's pretty far downtown, but there's a famous cupcake bakery apparently featured on Sex and the City, which I don't really watch.

Anyway, it was in a guide to NYC that Dr. Arnzen got me, and the cupcakes were to die for. There is also a used bookstore right across the street from it. How great is that?

Sounds wonderful. The major places will be so full of people; I want to get the full experience while I am there, not just the flashy NYC tourist spots, though I will be into them too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it! Plan your trips to famous sights well; in fact I would recommend you get familiar with the NY city subway system before you get there and plan your travel in advance. There's a link on my sidebar. And do plan to spend some time (in a group) walking the sidewalks of New York. Always a treat!

I don't know how many days you'll be there or how scheduled your visit will be, but you might want to conisder a bus tour of the downtown sights on the first day, and then spend the next couple days going back to the sites you liked. And typical advice -- if you walk around looking up at the tall buildings, you mark yourself as a tourist.

Be sure to find an Internet cafe where you can blog!

I am very interested in going to NYC. BUT I need more information on it. I've been to NYC twice in the past two years and I absolutely love it! If you can give me more information in class tomorrow then that would be perfect and I will go with you. ROOMIIIIIIIES!
