"There are as many forms of love as there are moments in time."--Edmund, Mansfield Park

"Poetry is a celebration of emotional excess."--Cathy Helterbran, writing mentor

"In later years they change face, place, and maybe races, tactics, intensities and goals, but beneath those penetrable masks they wear forever the the stocking-capped faces of childhood."--Maya Angelou, writer.

Can you guess mine?

The first one is the best out of the three, go for the FIRST one! (There are many...)

I love the first one!

My favorite quote is the first one about love. I have watched this movie, "Mansfield Park" about 60 times and I always rewind for this part.

The other two quotes are also near and dear. The poetry one is by a writing mentor of mine. She is a dear heart and one of the most complex and wonderful people I have ever met. Poetry is an excess of emotion.

And then the Maya Angelou quote brings to light the masks we wear throughout our lives. I see so many people putting on those masks. I do. When I want to stand up and scream, or laugh on the floor, I dutifully sit in my seat, chuckling with more fervor than the rest of the class (I never am very good at containing my impulses).

All good quotes, but "the greatest of these is love."
