FAFSA Headache

Don't talk to me right now. I hate numbers. Kill the FAFSA (student financial aid form due for PA people by May 1st).

I just spent two hours filling out the grotesque form with my dad and I am about to stick my head in a woodchipper to alleviate the pain of blood pulsing through my brain.

Though I am technologically inclined, my parents aren't. They like everything "in writing". I can appreciate that, but the FAFSA can be renewed every year online.

Anyway, I need to get some things clarified by student accounts and the financial aid office before I can send it in. ARGH!!

The worst thing is that everything has its little place. I am deathly afraid I am going to write something in the wrong place, make myself look like a maharajah and not have any aid next year. THE STRESS. THE NUMBERS. THE PAIN >:-|

*sigh*
I don't need to say anything. I think the sigh says it all.

We all dislike the FAFSA, but we sure don't mind the aid...

Yep.

Ha ha, I don't have to fill one out, as I am departing this strange, cruel world!

But you gotta love the aid, i found the best thing to do is to fill it out early, like in February, say over spring break..like i did, and also, it takes so much less time when you use the renewal form, they mailed me one, didn't you get one girls?

Nope. Sadly, I didn't get a renewal form in the mail--I'll be doing mine electronically, anyway. But the problem remains for this student that her parents didn't do her taxes as they said they would... so I'm behind on all counts *argh* Frustration reigns, but it'll get done [somehow].

Fortunatly I have mine finished. Like Lori, I tried to get them in as soon as my taxes were ready. Since I am far away from home I had the help of a family friend to get mine and her daughter's sent out before the deadline. Just think, at least its finished until next year. :)

I will be finishing mine tonight. I asked Financial Aid at school for some help. God be praised for the kind staff in that office.

I don't have to worry about the FAFSA. My dad took care of it all. He said that since he had to do my brother's for next year, he would take care of mine as well...Lucky me...
