Counting down County

If you haven't noticed, I have added a little something to my blog. Yes, Dr. Jerz, I am learning a little more about HTML and Java.

Anyway, it is on your left if you don't know what I am talking about--or right if you have dislexic vision (sometimes I do).

I am very excited about this event. So excited that I plan on August craziness. What is this craziness that I speak of? Squirrel watching? No--but that would be fun.

Geauga Lake with family very soon. Perhaps a late trip to the beach (Stacy we have to talk). Weekends.

After all the whining I have done over the past year, yes, one terrible year at that place, I am finally going to be free. I will not say that all of my experience there has been bad; I have met many nice people, but irregardless, I hated it. Period. The end.

Erg! You're learning javascript, not java!

(Sorry, programmer thing)

Let it be known that I was the first to stick a countdown on my blog! Good to know that someone else is following suit!

Congrats Amanda and thanks for the suggestions on my poetry....

Oh Will, nice to see you have visited.

As for my javascript faux pas, I heard it referred as such in my everyday experience; I didn't know it would be a disagreeable term. Sorry if I have offended your tech savvy sensibilities.

Will correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Netscape first intend to call it "LiveScript" but they deliberately changed the name to "JavaScript" when Sun's "Java" started getting a lot of attention? So your confusion is not only understandable, Amanda, it's what the creators of JavaScript intended.

Hey, Amanda........i'm afraid to ask....what do you need to talk to me about?? :)

The beach. We must plan. *rubs hands together in conspiratorial manner*

Yeah, java/javascript terminology is needlessly confusing. The javascript syntax is based off of java, but mixing up Java and Javascript is kind of like mixing up Shakespeare and George Carlin. (hehe)

I do like the real-time countdown though - that's pretty neat!

Um...okay. I am completely lost, but I do like a cup of hot java every once in a while. :-D

Posted by: Amanda at July 25, 2004 10:48 PM

Yeah, java :^) Congrats on getting that in there, dear. You're learning. As for the beach... may I accompany you??? *evil laughter, evil laughter*

So glad you're quitting CM. So, so glad.
