Clippings

Oh yeah. This was on the front cover of the Greensburg Trib on Saturday. I'm pretty proud of this article.

I'm also trying to document everything published during my internship in an online archive. I am going to add to it periodically. If anyone has any suggestions for making the page better, I would really appreciate the assistance.

The online archive will accompany my print clippings when I turn in my final submission for my internship grade in August. I just need to find a folio large enough to hold my clippings as shown in the paper. I'd like to have one that could show the placement of the articles in the full context of the paper, rather than just haphazard clippings. Anyone know where I could find one?

They make folios for art students that are absolutely huge. We're talking movie poster sized (and smaller) with plastic pages inside. It's not gonna be cheap, but Michaels or Art Tech will have them.

Congrats!

A critique (take kindly):

For the archive page I recommend maybe using some bullets. Or a border like the dotted one on your main page might be nice, if used to split up the individual listings. Perhaps working with different font sizes would be best for the little description you have vs. the actual text below, and a smaller font for the links at the top, too--they look ugly when they leak onto the lower line.

Also, are you aware that the top of the window, when viewing your page, says "Untitled"? I'd fix that, too.

Perhaps creating your own system for listing the pieces would be good, too--put the date, then title, then by-line (like your co-author one), then any additional information (like the link you have for the one). For consistency and just basic functionality, I'd stick to one way of listing these important tidbits.

Let me know if I can help. I can't promise any time this week, but if I get a second, I'd be happy to help, dear!

And congrats on your publication (again :-) !

I slapped it up just so I could have the links, so no offense taken, I really did want the help.

I did notice the Untitled after I'd posted it. It is saved at SHU so I can fix it the next time I'm up that way.

Any help you can provide would be great, Karissa. I was also thinking a table of some sort, with headers of publication dates, titles. What do you think?

Mike, thanks for the fast folio help. I really don't want them to get crusty, brown and brittle over the next few weeks. ArtTech is close and I think they'll have more variety.

P.S. I'm at home now, and much of the formatting (spacing downwards on the page, link color and underline properties) I viewed on IE at a school computer today is not visible from Firefox chez moi.

Email me and let me know what I can do, okay? :-)
