In the story Bernice Bobs Her Hair by F. Scott Fitzgerald, cousins Bernice and Marjorie rocky relationship leaves feelings hurt and heads hairless. Did she get what she deserved?. (tell me more, tell me more)
Bernice is a confusused young woman who is easily manipulated by her cousin Marjorie. All Bernice wants to do is fit in. Marj is fine with that as long as it's making her life easy, that is until Bernice peaks Warren's intrest. Is it fair that cold hearted Marjorie's hair gets butchered after she tricks Bernice to bob her long locks. I think so, especially since it is a surprise to Marjorie.
Bernice's theme song at the end of the story: " I'm coming out. I want the world to know got to let it show..." :-D
