.First meeting for Spring 2007!

It's time for our first meeting of the new semester. We will be meeting on Tuesday, February 6th at 9 PM in Admin 207.

You won't want to miss this one! We'll start the meeting with a birthday cake for Ronald Reagan, who would have been 96 on Tuesday. We'll discuss all the plans we've made so far for the new semester - campaign work, movie nights, a debate - and talk about YOUR ideas. If you're interested in attending the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington D.C. from March 1st-3rd you absolutely need to attend this meeting.

We'll also give you the details for a program we'll be attending at Grove City College on Thursday, February 22nd. Michael Reagan - best-selling author, radio host, and son of our favorite president - is speaking at 7 PM, it's free, several people have already agreed to drive, and everyone is invited!

Hope to see everyone there! If you have questions, or if you can't make the meeting but still want to be involved this semester, please contact any member of the executive board.

MEETING- Santorum Rep. to Visit SHUCRs!

Monday, April 4th at 7:00PM in Lynch Auditorium

Keith Schmidt, the Western Pennsylvania representative from the Rick Santorum campaign, will be heading up the next meeting of the Seton Hill University College Republicans this upcoming Monday (April 4th). I am asking that every member of the club please make their best effort to attend. (I am being optimistic and expecting all 70+ members to come...) It's going to be a very important meeting, mainly because Keith is an important guy who has alot to say in regards to our club and our current objectives. He travels around Western PA giving talks to GOP organizations of every shape and size, and after I met him at a Beaver County GOP meeting a few weeks back he agreed to come and speak to the SHUCR's.

The subjects of Keith's speech will be club organization, fundraising, and social security reform. Because Senator Santorum himself is all booked up for the next few months, Keith is going to be giving us a taste of Rick's Social Security stance. We will also be giving a status report on the club's effort to have a large Social Sec. event later in the year.

And just as extra incentive for folks to attend, there will be food and drinks provided by the club (straight from Darren and the SHU cafeteria). So to all you CR's out there, mark this very important meeting on your calendars. If you have to skip a class, or leave a class early, just tell your teachers that you have to attend a speech by a representative for Senator Santorum... well, first gage how liberal your prof. is.

Hope to see everyone there!

Club Meeting- Wed. March 1st

There will be a very important club meeting TUESDAY, March 1st at 9:00PM in A206 .

At this meeting we will discuss the club objectives for this semester. There will be a presentation of our goal for the semester (which deals with Social Security and college students) and how we are to accomplish it. We would like to get as many of the members there as possible, so that we can all have brainstorm ideas for events, fundraising, and promotion, as well as answer any questions that you may have.

Everyone is welcome to this meeting and all are encouraged to attend. Let's make our voice heard this semester (just as we did last semester!)

(*Edit- Originally this said Wed. March 1st. The meeting is actually on TUESDAY because there is no Wed. March 1st. Sorry for the error-Mike*)
