One Act is All it Takes

Chekov's Play,"The Bear" explores human emotions, in a funny, yet effective way, despite being a single act. It shows the awkward connection between love and anger. Only by first being forced to feel anger, can the widow begin to feel again. The interesting thing about the play is that it manages to show this progression from numb sadness, to anger, to finally love, or probably more accurately lust, in a very short amount of time. It tends to illustrate how quickly strong emotions can shift direction.
