Dr. Jerz-
Is this in Iambic Pentameter or just 14 lines with a couplet, or you are again giving an open-ended assignment. Not all sonnets have to be about love right? Cause I'm at a loss for ideas but having been very loving lately so it could be cruel. Thanks

I passed out a handout on the sonnet several weeks ago... a sonnet is 14 lines in iambic pentameter, but with one of several different rhyme schemes. (You'll have to pick one.)

I leave the choice of a topic up to you.
