Dr. Jerz-
I want to do a talk on File Sharing and Ethics.

Dr. Jerz, I'm not to sure would topic might be a little easier for me since I don't know to much about the internet. I'm thinking maybe viruses, spyware, and security...because I'm good at attracting viruses and maybe I can learn something :-) The other topic that I was interested in was Google, Microsoft, and "Evil", which ever you feel is of more importance..or no one else wants I'll take.

Since the faculty e-mail is down this weekend, I'll post a few starter links here.

A great place to start to get a broad view of most subjects is to look up the major terms/companies in www.wikipedia.com (but I wouldn't quote that site directly in any research... use it to find links and guide your investigation.)

Google, Microsoft and Evil

File Sharing

Be sure you present the debate fairly -- particularly if you chose this issue becuse you are a strong supporter of one particular side.

Dr.Jerz,
When I attempt to save my blog entry that goes along with my topic there is an error message which occurs. It reads: 'Parse error in template 'About Me': with no ' I am not even dealing with my about category. What is happening here? I cannot prepare my presentation as of Sept.19, 2004 5:35AM

Posted by: Leslie at September 19, 2004 05:27 AM

Leslie, although I can't yet track down the source of the problem, your blog entry is visible at the following URL:

So I think you should be fine for Monday's presentation. (I'll still try to fix your problem, though.)
