Sex in Games: Rez + Vibrator

I find it rather funny how a simple controller can be turned into something so sexual! And if you actually think about it, what is the purpose of the trace vibrator in Rez? I've never played the game but I don't understand how it would be used. That article brings up good issues such as how and when did playing video games become so sexual?! For example has anyone seen any of these extremely large breasted women in these games recently? Laura Croft is an A cup compared to the girls on those beach volleyball games. Sex is not only big in the real world but it is much bigger in the world of virtual reality.

Maybe the trace vibrator is a way of Japanese marketing used to incorporate sex into their culture without it being too taboo. I really got a kick out of this article and honestly its not the first time I've heard about something like this. I once read an article about the game Metal Gear Solid (Playstation) and how people (girls specifically) would go into the options menu, click vibration test and never lift their finger from that selection. If you know what I mean, and imagine that was with a Playstation Shock Controller. People come up with some interesting things, but in the end its kind of weird, not gonna lie about that.

I've never heard of anything like that before. I find it very interesting!

I e-mailed the author of that particular article in hopes of a response. Only time will tell considering that it was from last year.

Sex + Rez

Oh God! This is the only thought that comes to my mind. After I read this article I got a kick out of it and hurried my dad up to read it! He especially liked the pictures lol!!! I think that maybe this author thought that it would be intersting to read and gave it a little help with pictures!

I read Going Planet Side; as in almost every post we do, I blogged about it on my site. The article is nothing more than wow. Jim Rossignol narrates a video game war better than Dan Rathers and so many journalists can about a real war. There is a good game review hidden in the work of literature. It is hard to think of why people would not want this to coexist along side factual reviews.

Oh, geez... I had actually avoided reading that sex article. But if it generated this much interest, and Gina showed it to her dad... well, here goes.

Okay, that wasn't as bad as I feared. There's far more slacious stuff on English literature syllabi.
