Theater and Film
Time permitting, we will watch a segment of Marlon Brando's performance in the film version of A Streetcar Named Desire, and also look at the ending of the movie.
Dr. Jerz, the second question on the take home essay is a little confusing. You've written, "Find at aleast two different kinds of groups of people mentioned in People who stick together have to exclude others."
I'm not sure exactly which work we're supposed to refer to. Could you please clarify?
Posted by: Neha at March 20, 2005 11:48 AMNeha - I'm glad you asked that because I was about to email you to see if you know what the heck that question meant! ;c) Guess we are all confused!
Posted by: moira at March 20, 2005 1:26 PMA garbled passage in the take-home exam should include the bracketd insertions:
"Find at aleast two different kinds of groups of people mentioned in [assigned readings.] People who stick together have to exclude others."
I'm interested in seeing how you can use the assigned readings to argue for some statement about inclusion and exclusion.
I apologize for the confusion. (I'll send out an e-mail to the class.)

Is there a length for these essays that you prefer, Dr. Jerz? Word maximum?
Posted by: Karissa at March 20, 2005 7:01 PMThe assignment has no maximum word count.
