Paris, ''The Uses of Psychology''
http://blogs.setonhill.edu/mt/mt-tb.cgi/8106
Excerpt: Paris, ''The Uses of Psychology'' -- Jerz EL312 (Literary Criticism) "Psychology helps us to talk about what the novelist knows; fiction helps us to know what the psychologist is talking about" (222). I used to hate the idea of psychological...

Excerpt: We go to literature for many things, and not the least of them is the immediate knowledge that it gives to variously constituted human psyches. Bernard Paris theorizes that to accurately criticize realistic novels, one must study the psychology of...

Posted by: Kevin at February 27, 2007 9:55 AMDid I mention that I feel really bad about this whole trackback thing?
Multiple posts from the IP Address computer are treated as potential spam... and as far as I can tell there are lots of computers on campus that share the same IP address. I've asked MovableType, and there doesn't seem to be a way to whitelist individual IP addresses and treat all the others with suspicion... we either have to have a system wide open (where trackbacks will work but the whole system might come down) or tightly closed (where the system runs smoothly but at the expense of blocking too many legitimate trackbacks).
I'm always fiddling with the various settings, and I'll keep an eye out for possible solutions.
Meanwhile, thanks for continuing to post the URLs.
